Cyncly thanks longtime executive Ron Crowl for more than 25 years of leadership and industry innovation

Solon, Ohio, November 13, 2025 – Cyncly, the world’s leading global provider of software and content solutions that help make amazing spaces for living, is celebrating the career Ron Crowl, a trusted strategic advisor and former General Manager of its Windows, Doors & Glass (WDG) business unit, as he retires. Crowl's departure marks the culmination of a distinguished career spanning decades, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping the fenestration industry and guiding FeneTech through significant growth and its successful integration into Cyncly.

My gratitude goes out to everyone who contributed to this remarkable journey.”

Ron Crowl founded FeneTech in 1996, and the company quickly became synonymous with innovation in ERP solutions for glass fabrication and window and door manufacturers. Assuming the role of President & CEO in 1999, Ron steered FeneTech to new heights. Under his leadership, FeneTech launched its annual User Conference in 2003, fostering a vibrant community that saw participation from 245 users representing 83 companies globally by 2021.

His vision extended beyond ERP, leading to product innovations including the FeneVision Laser Marking system in 2009, which expanded the company into hardware-software integration. International growth was a key focus during this period, with the establishment of FeneTech Europe Sàrl in Luxembourg in 2010, led by Horst Mertes. The unveiling of the FeneVision Neo platform in 2012, at the second annual GPAD event, further solidified FeneTech's technology leadership. GPAD has since been gifted to the NGA to run and has been re-imaged for 2026 as the Glass Fabricator (GFAB) event, which Ron has helped to plan.

In 2021, FeneTech celebrated its 25th anniversary as a leading ERP provider to the market. The following year, Ron was appointed General Manager of the newly formed Windows, Doors & Glass (WDG) business unit at Cyncly overseeing the successful alignment of leading brands including FeneTech, Soft Tech, First Degree Systems, and Access IT under the Cyncly umbrella. 

Ron served on the National Glass Association (NGA) Board of Directors from 2019-2025. He made history as the NGA’s first chair from the supplier membership segment, holding that position during the 2023-2024 term before serving as Immediate Past Chair through 2025. During his tenure, Crowl helped guide industry initiatives around technology and collaboration and notably led the association’s CEO search committee. The NGA recognized his leadership and service when he departed the board in 2025.

In 2024, Ron transitioned to an active strategic advisor role with the appointment of Don Busiek as General Manager, Cyncly Windows, Doors & Glass solutions.
