The acquisition connects design, engineering and production across Cyncly's platform, helping furniture manufacturers of every size move seamlessly from first sketch to final production.
London, UK, August 21, 2026 – Cyncly, a leading global provider of AI-driven software for the spaces-for-living industry, today announced the acquisition of imos, a leading provider of CAD/CAM, integration & automation software for the furniture manufacturing industry.
Headquartered in Germany, imos is known for deep industry expertise and market-leading manufacturing software for panel-based custom and semi-custom furniture. Its software helps manufacturers turn design intent into validated, parametric constructions that generate production-ready data, including optimized nesting and CNC-ready outputs. imos serves more than 5,000 manufacturers across 100 countries, from craft businesses to large industrial producers.
The acquisition strengthens Cyncly’s leading furniture manufacturing portfolio, which today serves manufacturers at every scale from the largest enterprises to the smallest cabinet and woodworking shops. The addition of imos brings complementary know-how and deep engineering capabilities, adding depth in the critical step where design becomes machine-ready. For manufacturers, this means a more connected, end-to-end, AI-ready workflow: one that can draw on real production data to optimize material usage, catch errors before they reach the machine, and move more orders through production faster.
Together, these capabilities move Cyncly closer to its vision of becoming the single, AI-enabled manufacturer platform that supports customers across their entire workflow, from initial design through to final production.
"Every furniture manufacturer is trying to connect design, engineering and production into one smooth process. Our ambition is to give them a single platform that does exactly that, and imos is a major step toward it," said Anand Krishnan, CEO of Cyncly. "imos is the leading provider of CAD/CAM, integration & automation technology in the industry, supporting the engineering middle of manufacturers' workflows, which means what a designer creates is precisely what the machine produces. Together, we'll help the entire furniture manufacturing industry run more accurately and efficiently."
“imos has always grown in close partnership with its customers and partners, and that commitment remains unchanged,” said Winfried Dell, CEO of imos AG. “As part of Cyncly, we can combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to accelerate innovation, expand the value we deliver, and support our customers even more effectively as their businesses evolve.”
“The gap between a finished design and a machine-ready file is where manufacturers lose the most time and accuracy, and that is exactly the gap imos closes,” said Andrea Gnoato, General Manager of Cyncly's Kitchen, Bathroom and Furniture Manufacturing solutions. “We have worked closely with imos for years, and building on the integration we already share, we can now give customers a more complete, AI-connected workflow. For our customers it means fewer manual steps between design and the shopfloor. For those already using our manufacturing solutions it means we keep investing in the products they depend on, while adding capability across their entire workflow.”
As part of Cyncly, imos customers will gain access to Cyncly's global scale, AI-driven innovation and R&D investment, bringing greater automation and intelligence across design, engineering and production. imos will continue to serve its customers with the teams and support they know today, while gaining the resources to accelerate its product roadmap and deepen its capabilities. Cyncly remains fully committed to the continued development of all its furniture manufacturing solutions.
The acquisition has been completed, and imos now forms part of Cyncly's furniture manufacturing portfolio. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
